Available for pre-order only. Shipping July, 2021.

Made in collaboration with Zarif NYC and handcrafted in Kabul, Afghanistan. Our Kaamisha jacket is designed to provide a classic overcoat look while keeping things lightweight for summer and autumn.

Each jacket offers a limited run silk-cotton ADRAS fabric and hand dyed ikat design from Uzbekistan. The exclusive ikat fabric is a symbol of prestige in Uzbekistan's culture and is called 'abr' an originally Persian term meaning, cloud.

Kaasmisha means a happy soul in Arabic. We champion the handmade process and limited run sustainable fabric to produce one of a kind pieces.

    Meet the Maker

    Anne JamalZadah

Anne started at Zarif in 2007 as a trainee, but after one short year of training, she was quickly promoted to head our Women’s tailoring work. She is a fast and committed learner, and also knows when to take risks to innovate. She has great drive and work ethics and delivers, even in the most adverse circumstances.

    The Inspiration

Zarif's collections are inspired by the beautiful afghan landscapes, architecture and people. When you wear one of these pieces it's as if you have travelled to Afghanistan, and carry its rich cultural heritage with dignity and pride.

    The Impact

Zarif was born out of a desire to change the world view of Afghanistan to celebrate its rich culture and geographic history and alter the commonly held perception of a war-torn country. As we learn and share from each other through our craft we empower our artisans to find pride in the culinary identity.
