Meet the Maker

Iris Woo

Iris was born and raised in Hong Kong, China. She got her account designation in Canada and pursued finances for more than 15 years. Pottery caught Iris' eye in 2015 and became the 100% self-taught artist we know and love today.

The Inspiration

Iris grew up in an ubran, concrete forest and struggled in the business world. She had a deep love for nature: oceans, rivers and mountains. From her works, Iris hopes to reflect freedom while still being practical. She hopes that everytime her work is viewed and used, that we are reminded of nature.

The Impact

Everyone has moments when they are happy or unhappy. Iris Woo hopes that when they step into her ceramic studio, they will find ways to cheer up or let go of their worries. When listening to soft music in a comfortable atmosphere, everyone present will feel the healing of art. From not knowing how to start, to leaving with a smile on their face, spiritual satisfaction makes any material satisfaction more lasting.
